Galway Bay fm newsroom - A major crisis in the LEADER programme is looming.
Fianna Fáil's rural affairs spokesperson, Galway West- South Mayo T.D, Éamon Ó Cuív, is warning too much red tape is crippling the programme, which supports rural development projects.
Deputy O'Cuiv says only 100 thousand euro of an available 200 million has been spent, three years into the current scheme.
He's urging the Government to be more proactive in rolling out these projects to protect and develop rural communities.
