Galway TD slams Government over lack of spending on rural Ireland

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway TD is criticising the Government for allegedly failing to release any funding under a special programme designed to support rural Ireland.

Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív says 52 million euro has been allocated to the Rural Regeneration and Development fund for this year.

However, he says that despite the fact that the first successful projects were announced in November of last year, no funding has been released to date.
