Galway TD demands Craughwell be prioritised for water services investment

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway East TD is demanding that Craughwell be prioritised for investment in water services.

It's after the recent announcement of a new national fund worth €50m to address the needs of villages and developments without access to public waste water services.

Deputy Ciaran Cannon wants Irish Water to develop a wastewater treatment plant for Craughwell, to enable future development and address some issues in existing estates.

However, he claims the body has now informed him that they have neither the remit nor the funds to complete such a project.
