Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway TD has criticised the Housing Minister for indicating he will not change the law to more clearly identify those lodging planning appeals to An Bord Pleanala.
Galway West Deputy Eamon O' Cuiv says there are many cases where people make appeals against planning permission but do not live at the address they provided.
He cites a recent example in Galway where a person who appealed against local planning permission clearly did not live at an address provided - and failed to turn up at a subsequent oral hearing.
Fianna Fail Deputy O' Cuiv says people are perfectly entitled to object to planning applications, but the law must be strengthened to avoid what can often amount to anonymous objections - for more on this story tune in to Galway Bay fm news on the hour...
