Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway West T.D is calling on Housing Minister Simon Coveney to immediately review the Mortgage to Rent Scheme.
Deputy Eamon Ó' Cuív says 3,500 cases have been submitted since the scheme's introduction in 2012 - but only 187 of those have so far been approved.
He says a further 670 cases are still being processed, while over 2,600 have been terminated or declared ineligible.
Deputy O' Cuiv wants Minister Simon Coveney to take steps to simplify the operation of the scheme.
