Galway TD Calls on Governent to address the shortage of electric vehicle charging points in rural Ireland.

The government is facing renewed calls to urgently address the shortage of electric vehicle charging points in rural Ireland.

More electric vehicles were sold in the first three months of this year, than diesel.

However, independent TD for Galway-East, Seán Canney, says people in rural areas have no choice but to continue using petrol and diesel because of the lack of charging infrastructure.

He wants charging points to be installed in key locations.
