Galway TD calls for immediate publication of 37 childcare facilities on Tusla 'critical' list

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway TD says the Department of Children should withdraw funding from the 37 childcare facilities on Tusla's 'critical' list.

The child and family agency is refusing to reveal the identity of the services, while the department says it doesn't know them.

The figure emerged at Tuesday's meeting of the Oireachtas committee on children, during a discussion on the creches controversy.

Fianna Fáil's spokesperson on children and Galway East TD, Anne Rabbitte, is a member of the committee.

Deputy Rabbitte says the department should find out which childcare facilities they are - and reveal them immediately.
