Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway TD says the proposed city ring road is not the right approach to tackling Galway's traffic problems.
The Cabinet has approved the 600 million euro plan for the N6 ring road, following several delays.
It will now be submitted to An Bord Pleanala for planning permission.
The 12 kilometre route would connect the north of the city to the west of Barna.
Independent TD for Galway West Catherine Connolly, says the need to improve public transport is being overlooked.
