A Galway TD is reported to have been among 80 other TDs, Senators and guests at a controversial Oireachtas Golf Society event in Clifden held this week.
According to the Irish Examiner, Independent TD for Galway West, Noel Grealish, who is captain of the Society, attended the gathering along with Agriculture Minister Dara Calleary and EU Commissioner Phil Hogan among others.
The gathering took place at the Station House Hotel in Clifden on Wednesday, just 24 hours after new COVID-19 measures were introduced to stop the spread of the virus.
The event honoured father of Tuam Cllr Donagh Killilea - former Fianna Fáil MEP Mark Killelea Jnr - who passed away in 2018. It's understood the late Galway man's family also attended the event.
