Galway Simon Community has submitted plans to develop independent living units for older people in the west of the city.
The proposal would see the demolition of an existing fire damaged two storey dwelling and the construction of 10 one-bedroom apartments in a three-storey building, with associated on site car parking.
The development would be located in the Upper Newcastle area.
City planners are due to make a decision in November
