Two Galway schools are celebrating wins for their recipies at the Uni4U+ College Cookbook Competition.

Coláiste Muire Máthair in the city and Coláiste Cholmcille in Inverin were both awarded accolades at the food comp.

The competition took place in the University of Galway and the recipes were judged by chef and author, JP McMahon.

The students had to present five dinners for one person, had a budget of €35 and were judged on the nutritional value of the meals.
