Galway Rural Development Ltd has issued a targeted call to groups in East Galway looking to develop their area.
With €4.1 million available in LEADER funding, GRD is seeking expressions of interest - with a focus on job creation, social inclusion and sustainable development.
Expressions of interest are to be submitted by October 21st, with grants of up to €20,000, and 90% of the Development Plan costs available on projects budgeted at €100,000.
Chairperson of GRD and local councillor Pete Roche says this fund aims to find solutions to rural issues - including lack of employment opportunities.
