The long-awaited Galway City Ring Road application is expected to arrive at An Bord Pleanala tomorrow.
The council has fulfilled its 'further information’ request from the planning authority.
It comes a week after an allocation of €2.4 million was set aside for the project in the 2025 Funding Programme for National Roads.
An Bord Pleanala first approved the Galway Ring Road project, which is decades in the making, in late 2021.
But that decision was overturned by the High Court for failing to take into account the Government's newest climate action plan.
Galway County Council were ordered to submit extra information to the higher planning authority so it can begin a reassessment.
That work - which was expected to be done before the end of 2024 - has now been completed.
Director of Services Uinsionn Finn has told Connemara councillors the application is ready to go, and will be with An Bord Pleanala tomorrow.
