Galway researchers identify stem cell which could treat breast cancer

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Researchers in Galway have identified a new way of potentially treating breast cancer.

Scientists at NUI Galway have identified a type of stem cell which can hone in on tumours in organs in the body.

This stem cell could be used to deliver drugs directly to cancer sites.

The study has been published in the internationally renowned cancer journal, Oncogene.
