Galway records COVID-19 incidence rate of 152.7 over last fortnight

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway has recorded a 14-day incidence rate of COVID-19 of 152.7 - largely in line with the national average.

The data examined the period from September 27th to October 10th.

Cavan has one of the highest rates in the period of 338.7, while Monaghan has a rate of 319.3.

Donegal's rate is the highest at 344.9 per 100,000 of population.

After the longest period in Level 3, Dublin's rate has eased off slightly at 174.6.

Carlow now has the lowest rate in the country at 59.7.

The national average now stands at 158.5 - a 38 percent rise on last week's figure.

64 additional cases were notified in Galway last evening.

The total number of confirmed cases to date in the city and county now stands at 1032.
