Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway publicans are to picket the offices of Government TD's across the county from this morning.
Galway Chairman of the Vintners Federation of Ireland, Councillor Joe Sheridan, says the ongoing closure of pubs not serving food means 155 families across Galway are without a livelihood - which equates to 1,500 jobs.
Publicans will picket the Loughrea offices of Galway East Fine Gael TD Ciaran Cannon this morning at 11 - and the offices of Galway East Fianna Fail Deputy Anne Rabbitte in Portumna at mid-day.
This afternoon, they'll move into the city, to hold a demonstration outside the offices of Galway West Fine Gael Junior Minister Hildegarde Naughton in Woodquay.
They'll then continue on to the offices of Galway West Fianna Fail Deputy Eamon O'Cuiv at Flood Street.
Publicans have also pledged to picket the offices of Galway Government Senators - which are Fianna Fail's Ollie Crowe, Fine Gael's Sean Kyne, and the Green Party's Pauline O Reilly.
