Galway property prices stay flat during first three months of the year

From Galway Bay fm newsroom- Property prices in Galway have bucked the national trend by staying flat during the first three months of the year according to the latest MyHome.ie Property Price Report.

The median asking price for a property in the county is still €285,000, however it does mean prices have risen by €25,000 compared with this time last year.

Asking prices for a 3-bed semi-detached house in the county fell by €6,000 over the quarter to €256,250. This means that prices in the segment have risen by €16,250 compared to this time last year.

Meanwhile nationally, asking price inflation slowed to 3.2 per cent.

The latest Myhome.ie report with Davy shows the median cost for a home nationwide is 310 thousand euro.

Chief Economist at Davy and author of the report, Conall MacCoille says we may see price drops in the months ahead:
