Medicine, Biomedical Science and Arts saw points drops in University of Galway second round offers

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Medicine, Biomedical Science and Arts all saw a drop in points in the second round of CAO offers at University of Galway.

Medicine dropped by just one point, while both biomedical science and arts both fell by nine points.

Nationwide, points dropped in around one in five honours degree courses in the CAO's second round, according to the Irish Independent.

Overall, 47,708 applicants have accepted offers - which is a decline of about 800 on the previous year.
