Galway minister highlights need for more water treatment plants to support development of affordable housing

Additional wastewater treatment plants across the county are a key part of supporting the development of new affordable housing in Galway.

That's according to Minister for Rural Affairs and Galway East TD Sean Canney who says the development of affordable homes is being stifled in the county.

Minister Canney says growth centres such as Craughwell, Abbeyknockmoy, Aughrim and Clarinbridge are unable to accommodate new housing developments due to the lack of infrastructure.
