Galway house prices increase by 6 per cent over past year

Galway Bay fm newsroom- Average house prices in the city and county increased by more than 6 per cent last year.

That's according to the Real Estate Alliance which also shows that despite the increase in prices in Galway year on year, the first quarter of this year saw somewhat of a freeze on house prices.

The REA says the freeze is partly due to many areas hitting the Central-bank enforced mortgage lending ceilings.
