Galway Bay fm newsroom - A regional accelerator programme which is one of the first of its kind business schemes outside the Dublin area has been launched in Galway's PorterShed in the city.
There are 10 slots available in the programme with the first cohort to commence over the summer period.
It's part of Enterprise Ireland's strategy to increase the number of start-ups with potential to employ more than 10 people and achieve one million euro in export sales within three years.
Galway City Innovation District established its first hub for start-ups at the PorterShed last year.
John Breslin of the PorterShed told Keith Finnegan the accelerator programme will provide an opportunity for new firms to flourish.
