Galway fire services record no major incidents in Halloween callouts

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The number of Halloween night callouts to Galway Fire Services saw a decrease this year.

Bonfires were reported in a number of areas including Castlepark, Westside and Ballymoneen Road in the city and in Loughrea in the county.

However fire services say no major incidents were recorded on the night.

Gardaí were in attendance at the Castlepark incident at approximately 8pm as they responded to reports of anti-social behavior in the area.

A number of bonfires were observed, which were subsequently put out by the fire services.

The crowd in the area was also dispersed and no arrests were made.
