Galway features in global list of most exciting places to visit in 2020

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A visit to Galway has been named as one of the best things to do on the planet in 2020.

'Time Out' placed visiting the city as 8th on the list of most exciting things to do in the world due its status as European Capital of Culture this year.

Other attractions which made the list include heading to the 50th annual Glastonbury festival and a stay at a floating hotel in Sweden.

Galway has been included in a number of 'must visit' lists in recent weeks - including the Lonely Planet Travel Guide and CNN Travel's best places to visit in 2020.

Galway was also named one of the best 'Foodie Destinations' in the world by the BBC Food Magazine earlier this month.
