Galway farm families urged to start succession planning

Farm families across Galway are being urged to ensure they have a succession plan in place.

Professional services firm IFAC says the measure is crucial to protect the future wellbeing of families and ensure costly legal and tax issues are avoided.

It's after a recent survey conducted by the firm revealed that almost 90 percent of two thousand farmers interviewed revealed they do not have a succession plan in place.
