Galway family syndicate of four collects cheque for half a million from Lottery HQ

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Galway family syndicate of four members has collected their cheque worth half a million euro from Lottery HQ in Dublin

The family, who wish to keep their win private, purchased the Euromillions Quick Pick ticket at McGreal’s Mace in Ballybrit for the July 4th draw

The head of the syndicate said she brought the lucky ticket from change left over from buying milk and pork chops for the dinner

She said they gathered together later that night and spent the night dancing on the tables and singing together

She added while they have no immediate plans for the windfall, a family holiday is on the cards for next year

The syndicate collected their cheque last evening, following news of another big win for Galway

An as yet undisclosed Galway store sold the ticket which scooped the one million euro Lotto Plus 1 top prize in Wednesday night’s draw
