A Galway East TD has been appointed as the Fine Gael national party spokesperson on media, arts & culture.
Deputy Cannon who is a former Minister for the Diaspora and International Development announced the appointment in a tweet this afternoon.
He says the Covid-19 pandemic has proven a significant challenge to the arts sector.
