Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway City Council has submitted a bid to the EU Urban Innovation Fund to help develop the city.

The council is partnering with ATU Galway, University of Galway, Galway Chamber, Galway Culture Company and Northern and Western Regional Assembly.
The EU fund will aid sustainable development of the city, promoting the re-purposing of existing buildings and reducing vacancy issues.

It's the first time such a wide-ranging partnership has joined forces to make a bid for EU funding aimed at such development.
