Galway city to host international tech festival

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Ethical hacking and social engineering, along with the use of AI and robotics in farming, will be among topics covered at this year's AtlanTec Festival which takes place in the city later this month (May).

This year's festival will be themed, 'The Art of Digital Acceleration', reflecting the unrelenting disruptive change which is the reality of business today.

The five day festival, which this year is a hybrid of virtual and in-person, is expected to top last year's global audience of over 3,500 people who connected across 50 events.

It's organised by Innovation Technology AtlanTec Gateway or ITAG, a non-profit cluster of technology companies.

It runs from May 16th to 20th, with the in-person events taking place at NUI Galway.
