Galway City chosen for pilot project to support marginalised communities

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway City is one of four locations nationwide chosen for a new pilot project to support engagement between local authorities and marginalised communities.

The project aims to develop toolkits that can be adapted and used by local authorities, like Galway City Council, to liaise with hard-to-reach groups.

Funding of €40 thousand has been allocated to each of the four areas in the pilot programme, from the Dormant Accounts fund.

The other areas approved are Clare, Fingal and Wicklow.
