Galway Bay fm newsroom - Commuters and visitors in Galway are left stranded this morning as Bus Eireann staff engage in an all-out strike.
Bus drivers walked off the job at midnight.
They're refusing to work under the threat of pay cuts which bosses claim they have no option but to enforce.
While school bus services will run, other Bus Eireann services have been cancelled due to the strike action.
Rail services have also been affected - it's understood the 5.30a.m Galway to Dublin service did not run, however the 7.40a.m Galway-Heuston service did operate.
Irish Rail says there will be limited services on intercity trains between Dublin and Galway, Cork, Limerick, Sligo and Waterford.
There will be no service running between Galway and Limerick.

Barry Kenny from Irish Rail says they thought services wouldn't be affected, but that the picket lines have been moved to locations that block access for train drivers.
SIPTU's Willie Noone apologised for disruption to passengers, but says workers feel the strike is justified.
