The Galway Bay fm Sleepout for Simon has been shortlisted in the ‘Community and Social Action' category.
On October 5th, station presenters Alan Clarke and Shannon Fogerty slept on Shop Street in the City, while Alan Murphy and Seamus Ó'Fátharta bedded down for the night on the streets of Tuam.
The people of Galway got behind the cause and raised over €84,000 for Galway Simon, doubling the original target.
Meanwhile, ‘Rise n Smile’, presented by Alan Clarke and Ollie Turner, has made it to the shortlist for ‘Best Entertainment Inserts’.
The overall winners of the IMRO Radio Awards will be announced on Friday October 4th, at a gala ceremony in Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny.
