Galway-based medical technology company secures 15 million euro investment

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway-headquartered medical device company has secured 15 million euro in funding.

Atlantic Therapeutics, based at Parkmore, develops non-invasive pelvic floor strengthening and nerve stimulation products.

The 15 million euro in funding has been secured through a combination of venture capital investment from Seroba Life Sciences and Earlybird Venture Capital, as well as loan capital from Silicon Valley Bank.

Steve Atkinson, CEO of Atlantic Therapeutics, says the company aims to transform the lives of millions of people who suffer the stigma of bladder weakness without the need for surgery.

The capital will enable the firm to accelerate growth of its INNOVO technology, and develop new technologies.
