Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway Autism Partnership has secured funding from the HSE in its bid to further secure the future operation of the service.
The community-based charity was set up in 2011 and provides supports and services to autistic people and their families in the city and county.
The organisation has been awarded 25 thousand euro following its application for Section 39 funding.
This will cover 25% of GAP's operational costs and allow the group to expand its services.
GAP was saved from closure last December due to a local fundraising drive following a public appeal for support.
