Galway angling vessel to join major tuna study

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway angling vessel will join a fleet of 15 others in a research study of Atlantic Bluefin Tuna which has been launched by Inland Fisheries Ireland.

The Tuna CHART pilot programme, which is in association with the Marine Institute, will run from later this month until the middle of October.

All crew involved in the programme have been trained in fish handling, welfare, tagging and data collection.
