A recruitment process to fill this position is underway.

Galway 2020 says the team has grown considerably in recent months, with the addition of Helen Marriage and Sarah Coop from leading creative company, Artichoke as Creative Director and Development Director respectively.

Both joined the Galway 2020 team along with supporting teams from Artichoke and this brings to 31 the current team at Galway 2020.

The Galway 2020 project has been in the spotlight due to a number of key resignations and funding concerns.

Earlier this week, Galway County Council agreed to move forward with an additional funding allocation of 2 million euro to the project which will be used on large-scale county based projects.

Galway 2020 says the ongoing support from Galway County Council is an expression of confidence that it hopes, will encourage others to come forward as part of the extensive fundraising campaign.
