Galway 2020 opening ceremony to take place across the county

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The opening ceremony for Galway 2020 will take place across 6 county towns and villages before culminating in Galway City.

The ceremony will occur over seven nights from Sunday the 2nd of February, with the main spectacle taking place on Saturday the 8th at South Park in the Claddagh.

Galway 2020 is issuing an open call for up to 2,020 members of the public to take part in the 7 ceremony's.
