Funding confirmed for saftey works at Tubber Road in Gort

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Work to improve safety at Tubber Road in Gort is set to progress now that funding of 30 thousand euro has been allocated for the project.

The funds which come under the Community Involvement scheme, will see the setting back of the boundary road wall by 3 metres - along the length of St Colman's park.

The busy route has been a concern for locals due to poor sightlines and bad bends.

An application has also been submitted for CLAR Funding to provide a footpath along the stretch of road.
