Galway Bay fm newsroom - Substantial funding is being allocated to carry out coastal protection works in Leenaun.
Minister of State for the Gaeltacht and the Islands Seán Kyne has confirmed that 135 thousand euro has been granted to the county council for the rock armour works at Leenaun graveyard and Parochial House.
The funding has been approved by OPW Minister Kevin 'Boxer' Moran under the Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme.
