Galway Bay fm newsroom - Funding has been approved for Tuam's new fire station.
Galway East TD and Junior Minister Ciaran Cannon has confirmed that a successful tender has been chosen by the county council.
The estimated cost of the project is over 1.6 million euro.
Junior Minister Cannon says the new station will give fire service staff a modern, safe facility to operate from.
