Galway Bay fm newsroom:
A planning application has been lodged for a major mixed use development at the junction of Bothar Stiofan and Western Distributor Road in the west of the city.
The plan has been submitted by LIDL Ireland, who earlier this year had an application for the site rejected by An Bord Pleanála.
The fresh application includes the discount foodstore, a cafe/restaurant, barber, nail bar and physiotherapy clinic.
The plan for the mixed use development includes roof mounted solar panels, landscaping and associated car and bike parking.
City planners are due to make a decision next month.
