Galway Bay fm newsroom - Four people have been taken to hospital following a two car collision on the N59 Kylemore Road.
The collision involving locals and tourists took place at 3.15pm.
The road from Letterfrack to Kylemore is expected to remain closed for the next hour (6pm) as vehicles are removed from the scene.
Four people are being treated in hospital for non serious injuries.
