Galway Bay fm newsroom - There are four Galway names on the latest tax defaulters list published by the Revenue Commisioners.
Nationally, there are 62 names on the list, who reached settlements of 21 million euro, for a period covering the first quarter of the year.
Topping the Galway list is publican Thomas Tonery of Tonery’s Bar Bohermore, who made a settlement of just over 95 thousand euro for under-declaration of income tax and VAT.
Next is Oldside Enterprises Limited at Seapoint Leisure Centre in Salthill which made a settlement of just over 69 thousand euro for under-declaration of corporation tax and VAT.
The third Galway company is Siam Food Limited in Upper Salthill trading as Lana Asian Street Food and which made a settlement of just over 58 thousand euro for under-declaration of VAT.
The fourth Galway settlement was made by haulier James Linnane of Cushatrower, Roundstone who paid just over 43 thousand euro for under-declaration of Income tax, PAYE/PRSI/USC and VAT.
The largest settlement nationally to be imposed was 12 million euro on medical equipment supplier Eurosurgical in Dublin, which featured in a Prime Time documentary last year.
