Four confirmed cases of coronavirus being treated at Galway hospitals

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Four confirmed cases of coronavirus are being treated at Galway hospitals today.

Two cases are attending for treatment at UHG with a further two patients receiving care at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.

There are six suspected cases of the virus receiving hospital treatment at UHG, with one suspected case at the Ballinasloe facility.

Nationally, 279 people with Covid-19 are being treated in Irish hospitals this morning.

This is down 11 on yesterday morning's figure, and the lowest number since October 18th.

Meanwhile, there were 41 patients in ICU settings with the virus as of last night.
