Galway Bay fm newsroom - Five researchers at NUI Galway have been included on a prestigious international list of highly cited researchers, which includes Nobel laureates.
Professors Henry Curran, Donal O' Regan, Patrick W. Serruys, Ines Thiele and William Wijns have joined the Clarivate list of over 6 thousand researchers from more than 60 countries.
The annual list identifies researchers who demonstrated significant influence in their field through the publication of highly cited papers over the last decade.
Their names are drawn from the publications that rank in the top 1% by citations in the Web of Science citation index.
This is the seventh year running that Professor Henry Curran and Professor Donal O' Regan have been included in the Highly Cited Researchers list from Clarivate.
