Galway Bay fm newsroom - The fire services recorded seven three-pump incidents across county Galway this weekend in a period of increased demand for crews.
Emergency services were called to a bog fire in Laurencetown at 8am yesterday and remained at the scene until 1 this morning.
Crews were also drafted in for a gorse fire at Beach Road in Clifden last evening, and another in Lettermore where units remained at the scene until 1am.
In Ahascragh, three units of the fire brigade were called to a forestry fire and left the scene at 3am.
Meanwhile the Department of Environment has withdrawn all controlled burns in a bid to avoid further break outs.
