The Fine Gael leadership contender is visiting the NUIG campus on Friday as part of a nationwide series of visits to Irish universities to discuss the National Planning Framework.
He has recently addressed students in UCD and UCC.
The NPF sets out to map out the State’s population growth over the next 25 years.
It is intended to be a strong basis for policies, effective planning, investment and decision making, with public submissions open until March 16th.
Minister Coveney will address students at the Newcastle campus at 10.30am on Friday.
