Fianna Fail catching up to Fine Gael in Loughrea

There’s just one seat left in Loughrea with the election of two Fianna Fail councillors to the area.

Sitting Fianna Fail councillor Ivan Canning has returned to his seat, while his party colleague and new councillor Shane Curley has also crossed the finish line.

That leaves just one seat remaining in the area, with counting continuing at the Galway Lawn Tennis Club.
