Galway Bay fm newsroom - Father and daughter duo Sadhbh and Paddy Browne from Mountbellew are representing Ireland at the British Transplant Games in Coventry.

The annual event is taking place from today until Sunday.

Paddy Browne, who's eHealth Director of Nursing with Saolta, donated part of his liver to Sadhbh in 2019 when she was four years old.

Sadhbh was born with a rare liver condition, but following the transplant is living her best life according to her dad.

This year, Transplant Sport Ireland has 26 transplanted adults, 5 transplanted underage athletes, and 3 living donors competing from all around the country making it the largest ever Irish team to compete at these games.

Paddy Browne is urging everyone to have the organ donation conversation, as organ donation saves lives.
