Galway's Road Policing Unit is appealing for drivers to slow down as latest figures reveal fatalities on roads in Galway accounted for a quarter of all deaths on Irish roads last month.
August was the deadliest month on our roads in more than 9 years after 24 people died.

The Road Safety Authority has described the death toll as deeply concerning.
6 of the 24 deaths on our roads last month occurred in County Galway.
