Galway Bay fm newsroom - A family who are taking a legal case against NUI Galway claiming discrimination, have refused a call to drop the action.
Isaac, Kezia, Ammi and Enoch Burke were banned for life from all student societies at the college in November 2014.
They claim the university told them they were banned for misuse of funds.
Before the ban in 2014, the Burkes has been distributing religious information relating to their Christian beliefs on campus.
They claim the university discriminated against them on the grounds of religion.
Last week, it's understood solicitors for NUI Galway informed the Burkes that the college was lifting the lifetime societies ban.
The family claim the college offered to seek no costs in the case if they withdrew their claims of discrimination.
In a statement to Galway Bay fm news, the Burke siblings have confirmed they have rejected the offer and are pressing ahead with the case.
The case will begin at Galway Circuit Court today.
